1964 CHEVROLET IMPALA 8-PASSENGER WAGON

We just got in one of the rarest cars we ever had and probably one of the rarest Impala Wagons ever built based on all of its factory original options. This car is loaded up with rare options seldom seen in any vehicle built in 1964. Statistics show that in 1964 153,100 V-8 Impala Wagons were produced and, of that, 8684 of all the Impalas built in 1964 came with the 409 engine. Most of those were 2-door Super Sports so how many do you think were built in a Station Wagon? Well... there are no specific statistics that we could find but i can only imagine that NOT MANY!!
 In our 30 plus years in this business we have never come across a real factory built 409 IMPALA WAGON so when we got the opportunity to buy one, we didn’t hesitate, and neither should YOU!!  CHECK IT OUT!!

 This car was offered to us by the curator of a Humidor who was told by the family of the owner to sell the car. We were told that the car has been stored in this climate-controlled facility since 2010. We found the car with 4 flat tires, a dead battery and an inch of dust on it so it must have been sitting for a while unattended but that didn’t scare us one bit. We inflated the tires and pushed it onto our trailer and went to work. 

The body is all original and solid as a rock including the floors, frame and rear foot well. It has an older repaint in original two-tone "GOLDWOOD YELLOW/AZURE AQUA POLY" and i must say that after we got done detailing she shined up nicely and it looks impressively good even the chrome, trim and glass which are original and in really good condition too.

The "AQUA" cloth & vinyl 8-passenger bench seat interior is also all original and in surprisingly good overall condition and everything works as it should.

Powered by it’s rare and original date coded and numbers matching "QG" 409 c.i. 340 h.p. engine and 2 speed automatic transmission all of which runs good, sounds good and shifts good. We just serviced and inspected everything, so she road ready! 

Other rare options and features include a folding rear facing 3rd row seat, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power windows including rear tailgate glass, tilt wheel, factory dash tachometer, dual rear view mirrors, AM-FM radio and chrome-reverse wheels with brand new radial tires.

Overall, this rare and highly optioned car is in exceptionally good original condition. It runs and drives very well and looks really good too.
